France Football Magazine, organizers of the annual Ballon D’Or award for the best footballer in the world, have named the final 30 nominees for this year’s award.
The 30 players are up for the Ballon D’Or award, which has once again been decoupled from Fifa’s World Best Player of the Year award.
The award contains many usual suspects including Cristiano Ronaldo, who is nominated despite battling allegations of rape.
Fifa Best Player and world cup finalist Luka Modric made the list, as did Leo Messi and several members of France’s World Cup winning team.
Africa is represented on the list by the Liverpool duo of Mohammed Salah of Egypt and Sadio Mane of Senegal.
