Video- Nobody Should Feel Pity Or Sympathize With Kwesi Nyantakyi; His Greed And Arrogance Caused His Downfall

Frankly speaking in football administration in Ghana one man by name Kwesi Nyantakyi has been on the rise since the early 2000s when he was voted as the Ghana Football Association President. Before becoming the FA president of Ghana he was the Ghana League Club Association (GHALCA) President which automatically qualified him to be the GFA vice president.

Kwesi Nyantakyi’s presidency was a refreshing news for the football fraternity or industry of Ghana as Nyantakyi was a fresh young man full of ideas and a lawyer as such who carried himself very well. He suddenly became the hope for Ghana football and an inspiration for a lot of young men who were into football management and administration.

A lot of people can argue Kwesi’s tenure of office as the president of the Ghana Football Association was a success for himself and Ghana as a whole but I totally disagree with them as his reign saw a sharp decline in Ghana’s domestic men’s  league and all other departments of Ghana football apart from the Black Stars. Even with the Black Stars apart from qualifying to the world cup on three different occasions through dubious means he never won anything for us. Before his ascendancy to the throne as president, local clubs like Kotoko and Hearts have been winning continental trophies, the last one being the Confederations Cup.

The best thing that ever happened to Ghana Football Association was the ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ exposé titled ‘Number 12’ which exposed the rot, corruption, bribery, greed, and arrogance of the people who are at the helm of affairs of Ghana football and Nyantakyi was the big fish and the leader of all these machinations.

Kwesi Nyantakyi should have been smart and resigned in 2010 after the World Cup when the applause was high or even in 2009 when the Black Satellites had won for Ghana and Africa for the first time the Under 20 Men’s World Cup but his greed and arrogance prevented him from doing so.

This is a man who could boldly say on TV that the GFA presidency that he occupies, he is not resigning and if he does he will determine who becomes the next president or his successor. This is a man who disrespected almost every sports minister in this country who disagrees with his style of managing Ghana football and can go ahead on TV and radio to throw tantrums and invectives on the person of the said minister at a particular time.

Being the CAF Vice President, Fifa Executive Council Member, WAFU Zone B President and GFA President all was not satisfactory enough for you but you stoop so low and took a bribe of 65,000 US dollars from an unknown person just to sell Ghana football. Your greed caused your downfall and no one sympathizes or pities you for your lifetime ban from football and all it’s related activities. That was the least FIFA could do at this material moment.
