Last week, Burna Boy alongside Seun Kuti, Adekunle Gold and Yemi Alade were announced as Nigeria’s candidates for The Grammy.
But who else is thinking towards this line? While Yemi Alade, Adekunle Gold and Seun Kuti certainly deserved it since they are all in different genres, don’t you all feel the Afrobeat could have been better represented by Wizkid or Davido rather than Burna Boy?
Let’s be practical here, Burna Boy‘s outside album was largely influenced by weed and all the tracks in the album didn’t even blow until “Ye” blew up just because Kanye West released a song with the same title “Ye“.
That was what made the international music audience notice the album. But Wizkid especially released an album that even got rave reviews from the international audience better than Burna Boy’s Outside album.
And this year, Davido has been on fire both locally and internationally. He’s been invited to perform at some of the World’s biggest festivals and also he’s been gaining worldwide prominence and also won the BET award.
But aside from this
