It is widely believed that the reward for hard work is success and a number of people hold on to this mantra, but a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, doesn’t believe that hardwork pays.
Reno Omokri, a former spokesman to former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, has taken to his Twitter page to share his stance on working hard.
The pastor who is currently residing in the United States, believes that hard work doesn’t pay but smart work does.
He explained that if the reward for hard work is success, a great number of people would work as labourers and truck pushers.
The controversial author also warned individuals not to be deceived by rich folks because hard work ages an individual before their time.
He wrote: –
“Stop being deceived by the upper class. Hard-work does not pay. It kills! It ages you before your time. If hard-work pays everyone will want to be a labourer or truckpusher. There is only one thing that pays and that is smart work. Get smarter and you will get richer. Imagine yourself as an axe.
“If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed, but skill will bring success.” – Ecclesiastes 10:10. Instead of increasing your strength, try sharpening your ax #RenosNuggets.”
