MTN is infamous for a lot of things, not just in Ghana but wherever they operate; which is their ruthless business acumen which has made them so successful.
In Ghana, we often hear people complaining about poor network service, ‘swallowed’ credit by the network when their bundle unexpectedly gets finished, and their exorbitant Mobile Money charges.
Worst of all, when you call them with a grievance, the ‘robot lady’ would tell you to hold on and the waiting time can be insanely long, depending on the time the call was made.
That same robot lady is the one who tells you about your credit when it runs out and a million other technical things.
The lady behind the voice, or at least one of the ladies behind that voice, has been discovered on twitter. Her name is Kgomotso Christopher and she’s a South African actress. A video of her recording some of the MTN voice prompts hit social media and got people talking about her.
Christopher saw the video and admitted that she’s worked with MTN in such a capacity. Thus we can finally put a face to those voices in our ear.

i have done the voice for a while. But there were other artists who may be white who also did and those recording are still also used. Also, when I am not available, they use a similar voice, so the MTN phone voice stays consistent
