This week several stories have been flying around surrounding the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat and whether Ghanaian actor and staunch NDC supporter John Dumelo would be running for the seat.
The seat has become vacant following the recent death of NPP MP Emmanuel Agyarko, and both parties have already started jostling to find suitable replacements for the impending by-election.
Dumelo’s name has been mentioned as a possible candidate for the NDC and he’s set to announce his plan to run next week, 3news reports.
According to the website run by Media General, owners of TV3, sources have indicated that John Dumelo is indeed ready to run after being courted by officials in the constituency, and should announce his plan next week.

The seat is currently held by the NPP, and the constituency executives believe John Dumelo is the ideal candidate to recapture it for the NDC.
Neither party are yet to choose a candidate but it would surely be interesting for John, who has future Presidential ambitions, to run for the seat.
